Sustainable products are central to consumers and the planet. In addition to legislation, standards play a key role in ensuring that everyday products are sustainable by design.
Project’s aim and main activities:
reaLIFEstandards aims to ensure the effective participation of consumer and environmental stakeholders in standardisation supporting the clean energy transition, both in the field of Ecodesign and energy labelling, as well as in energy management systems.
Through this project, ANEC contributes to improving Ecodesign and Energy Labelling standards by developing horizontal standards on material efficiency, as well as product-specific standards aimed at testing the performance, durability or repairability of consumer products including washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, televisions, smartphones and tablets. We also take part in standardisation work on energy management systems.
reaLIFEstandards is a three-year project under the European Union’s LIFE programme.
